The Shirley Practice provides a comfortable and welcoming environment where each patient benefits from a thorough, holistic approach individually tailored to meet their unique needs.

With a number of qualified, experienced therapists we should always be able to offer a treatment that's right for the patient.

With our extended network of close working relationships with local GPs and medical services we can refer each patient quickly and efficiently if necessary.

We can even refer patients privately for scans such as MRIs within 24 hours.

Our osteopath uses both structural and cranial techniques, and cares for all patient groups from babies to the elderly.

He is experienced in treating a wide range of problems from sports injuries to postural problems degenerative conditions.

After graduation in 2002 he practised in New Zealand for 18 months, and since then has worked in two practices in the South East.

Deep tissue sports massage is available from our experienced therapist.

It's ideal for those training and preparing for an event, recovering from muscular strains, or just to help maintain flexibility and suppleness.

Our clinic also offers acupuncture.

Acupuncture is a widely recognised treatment for pain management, however it is increasingly being used to boost fertility and to prevent miscarriage along with a whole range of other gynaecological issues.

So whether you suffer from migraine, PMT or arthritic knees, acupuncture could help you.

Our Acupuncturist has undergone four years training and is fully insured and regulated by the British Acupuncture Council.

Therapeutic counselling is now available at The Shirley Practice.

Counselling can help people who are experiencing a wide range of difficulties.

It helps to make sense of what is happening when you are undergoing challenging life situations or when your thoughts and feelings seem overwhelming or distressing.

Some specific problems which counselling may help with include:
relationship difficulties, sexual issues, stress and depression,
bereavement, childhood trauma or abuse and post traumatic stress to name just a few.
