Monmouth Golf Club

Monmouth, South Wales
The First tee
The First tee
Founded in 1896, Monmouth Golf Club is a picturesque 18 hole, par 69 course set in the beautiful, Monmouthshire countryside. It comes complete with deer, pheasants and other wildlife.

The course was originally 9 hole but was extended to 18 in 1992. We also opened the newly refurbished clubhouse in that year. This offers a very comfortable and relaxing location for a drink or a meal, with the added benefit of magnificent views over the course and surrounding countryside - Monmouth Golf Club is widely held to be the prettiest golf course in Wales, standing as it does on high ground above the town amidst superb views of the Welsh hills, Forest of Dean and Wye Valley.

Greenkeeper Lee Williams and his assistants ably maintain this splendid, undulating parkland course. It's 5582 yards off the white tees, 5399 off yellow (par 69, SSS 67) and 5118 off the Ladies' tees (par 70, SSS 70).

Each hole offers a different challenge and names including 'Cannes Folly', 'Kymin View', 'The Oasis', 'The Struggle' , 'Cresta Run' and 'Last Gasp' give clues to the test in store!

We're proud of the reputation Monmouth Golf Club has built as one of the friendliest. You're assured of every assistance from our staff and members. Though a members' club we extend a warm welcome to visitors and visiting societies. We hope to make your day with us an enjoyable and memorable event.
