Extreme Dance Company was established in January 2007 by BA Dance Graduate Miss Clare Houston.

We offer classes in all dance and singing styles to dancers aged 3-21years.

All classes concentrate on perfecting dancers technique whilst developing their sense of style and performance.

Our aim is to create a safe and stimulating environment where dancers are supported and encouraged to develop at their own pace.

Our professional approach is supported by our ethos of fun, friendship and a commitment to allowing each and every dancer the opportunity to achieve their true potential.

Classes
Pre-School Classes ( 3-5 years) - allow your child to discover the joys of dance through basic movement, imagery and play.

Commercial Street- 'Dance like the Pop stars', street dance has emerged at the forefront of the dance industry over the last few years. All classes introduce and develop pupil's street style and promote the unique technical and performance qualities required. Ideal as a starter class or to widen a dancer's repertoire.

Jazz - - A technical class concentrating on basic jazz technique, fitness and flexibility, all pupils are entered for medal examinations. Ideal as a starter class and for those wishing to gain the fundamental skills of dance.

Ballet - Ballet underpins all dance styles and is a dancer's foundation. All classes follow the ADA syllabus and concentrate on perfecting technique, poise and performance. Older dancers are invited to point class when the class teacher feels they are ready

Tap - Pupils follow the A.D.A syllabus work concentrating on perfecting technique and performance qualities. Tap dance is a big part of commercial dance and is a must when pursuing a career in dance. Tap gives pupils a deep understanding of rhythm and musicality.

Contemporary - This class develops and widens pupil's technical range and introduces them to a more creative side of dance. Classes are a combination of Technical studies and Choreography tasks - ideal for anyone wishing to undertake GCSE, A level or degree level dance.

Musical Theatre - - A class for those wishing to gain the triple threat - Singing, Drama and Dance. Pupils will work as part of a small company to produce their own productions and be entered for local festivals when ready

Boys Class - Does your boy want to dance but not want to be the only one in the class? This class is for boys only and consists of street dance, fitness and lots of energetic fun!

Group Singing - A fun and inclusive class where pupils can develop their ability amongst their peers - all pupils will perform in the end of year show.

Solo Singing - Individual lessons for those wishing to improve their vocal ability and confidence. All soloists will be given the opportunity to perform in our end of year show and be entered for singing competitions when the class teacher feels they are ready
