Wedding Venue
Ardanaiseig Hotel is an independent luxury hotel by Loch Awe in the Scottish Highlands.

Ardanaiseig was built in the Scottish Baronial manner for Colonel Archibald Campbell of Clan Campbell in 1834. It was designed by William Burn and is listed for its architectural importance.

Ardanaiseig is a Category B listed house.

Whilst the exterior remains virtually unchanged, parts of the interior were altered by former residents, the Ainsworth family and more recently during the conversion of the house to a hotel.

The changes have been kept to a minimum to preserve the atmosphere of a private house, whilst ensuring compliance with fire precautions and the need for private bathrooms.

The current owner of the Hotel is Bennie Gray, proprietor of Grays Antiques in London.

The original design included a tower and a third storey but this plan was abandoned before building commenced.

The entrance hall boasts some fine pieces of antique furniture and works of art. It is very much the original entrance hall of a traditional country house.

Other public rooms include the library, with its log fire, the long drawing room where chamber music and piano recitals are sometimes performed, and the games room with its full size snooker table.

There are 16 bedrooms within the hotel, with an additional two in Rose Cottage and one in the private boatshed suite.

The bedrooms within the hotel are all individually designed and adorned with antique furniture and decorations.

There is a large drawing room with views to the gardens and loch and two feature fireplaces. There is also a library, bar and games room.

The boatshed suite is a short walk from the hotel and sits directly on the edge of Loch Awe. It is contemporary in design and includes a bedroom, bathroom, small kitchen, lounge and large balcony with telescope for stargazing.

Rose cottage sits at the entrance to the hotel and includes two bedrooms, a lounge and a dining-sized kitchen.

The gourmet restaurant has been awarded 3 AA rosettes and caters for up to 60 guests for breakfast, lunch, dinner and private functions. The Chef de Cuisine is Gary Goldie, who creates a set 7 course tasting menu each evening.

An in-room therapeutic massage service is available.

There is a steamboat and rowing boat for trips around the loch or to Ardanaiseig's private island.

A butler service, chauffeur and tour guide are available on request.

Ghillies can be arranged for deer-stalking, fishing and clay-pigeon shooting outings.

Ardanaiseig sits alone within 240 acres of private land on the edge of Loch Awe, at the foot of Ben Cruachan. The grounds include dense woodland, wild gardens, manicured gardens and a kitchen garden.

Ardanaiseig is available as an exclusive use wedding venue. The hotel has a license to hold religious and civil ceremonies in the drawing room or anywhere on the grounds.

There is a purpose built stone amphitheatre by the Loch and marquees can be erected on the lawn. A wedding and event planning service is available.
