We are all aware of the problems associated with flat roofs whether they are over domestic or commercial properties. Traditional roof coverings are heavily dependant on both the quality and original specification of the product closely coupled with the quality of installation.

You may have seen our displays in the local garden centres over the last decade or so. We use a glass reinforced polyester (GRP) resin system fully bonded to 18mm plywood or OSB3 timber decking which is suitable for both new flat roofs and roofs requiring refurbishment. We can offer very competitive rates for new build roofs and are very happy for the client to install the decking for us. Our GRP system comes with a 25 year guarantee with additional insurance backing.

We also offer an 'overlay' system wherever the substructure is sound. This system is a polyester based system that forms a permanently elastic, seamless, yet highly permeable membrane which is extremely strong and very durable. It is Vapour Permeable which means that unlike mineral felt, EDPM Rubber or single ply membranes it allows any moisture from the existing roofing to vent off and dry naturally. It also carries its own BBA Certification (certificate number 95/3139) having been proven over some 30
years and comes with a 25 year insurance backed guarantee.

This is a highly cost effective solution for larger areas (100 square metres plus) but also for any size area where the substructure is sound. It has a low carbon footprint as there is usually no need for stripping the old roof and disposing of any waste to landfill and no need for new decking boards etc. This system can even overlay asbestos sheeting in some cases thus avoiding the often very expensive and disruptive removal and disposal of the existing roof.

Both our systems provide a totally seamless, flexible, UV stable membrane across the entire roof. They are moulded on site to any shape easily coping with penetrations through the roof such as soil pipes/vents, skylights, fan and plant housings and of course parapets, without compromising the seamless application. Both systems can be supplied in a range of colours, usually a slate grey, and also a non-slip finish is available where regular foot traffic is anticipated. They have excellent elasticity and tensile strength
and are root resistant and ideal for 'green roofs'.
