Situated at the foot of the South Downs, in a position which has just been named an area of outstanding natural beauty, this 16th century built inn is a beauty spot in it's own right and looks much the same as it was in 1591.

There are two separate bars, one has pool, TV, darts, juke box and the main bar is wood panelled with log fires and a dinning area for 30 people.

There are leather sofas for you to relax in and a small library of book to read.

We have one twin and two double rooms.

All are en-suite with central heating, hairdryer, digital radio & TV and Tea & Coffee making facilities.

An iron with ironing board and free wi-fi access, also available.

There is a separate entrance to all rooms which leads from our large private car park.

Our premises are fitted with a fire alarm system which conforms to fire regulations.

Full English breakfast, lunch, and dinner are available every day.

We are licensed till midnight every night and have live music nearly every week end...so this is not a venue for a quiet early to bed stay (although we do provide ear plugs in every room!).

However together with good food and entertainment, a stay in our very comfortable well appointed rooms, will make a base to enjoy the country side with access to both the Southdowns and to the beach at Brighton.

Prices start at £40 per room per night, with full English breakfast available to residents at £5 per person
