Bourne Valley Nursery School

Salisbury, Wiltshire
Exploring together.
Exploring together.
Bourne Valley Nursery is situated in the picturesque village of Winterbourne Earls, 2 miles north of Salisbury. Housed in a Victorian School building we have spacious, bright rooms with individual gardens adjoining a large play area with soft tarmac. We have extensive indoor and outdoor resources to engage your child.

You will be impressed by the happy faces and warm, friendly atmosphere at Bourne Valley. We have specialist rooms for children from 16 months to 5 years. Each room provides an appropriate stimulating environment providing a lot of individual adult attention alongside interaction with other children.

Our activities and procedures follow the Government guidelines set down by Ofsted. Carefully planned routines and activities provide a dynamic curriculum to enable the children to reach their potential whilst enjoying their early years. We aim to give your child the best possible start when it's time to leave Bourne Valley and start at School.

Once at School we continue our high standard of care for 5 to 11 year olds during 'Before & After School Clubs' and in our 'Holiday Club' during School Holidays. The children enjoy their own spacious rooms above the nursery where they can take part in a wide range of fun activities.

The environment at Bourne Valley is structured to support the children's development. Our routines encourage each and every child to be happy and involved.
Learning through play we ensure they get the most from their time at Nursery.

  • Developing self-esteem; building self belief and confidence.
  • Developing social skills; being respectful of each other and other cultures.
  • Developing a natural desire to learn and self-motivation.
  • Building the foundations for life long learning.

We understand the importance of a healthy, balanced diet and our resident cook provides a variety of home cooked meals that are prepared fresh each day. Our staff take the opportunity to develop the children's social skills whilst we enjoy our meals together.

We pride ourselves in the Professional Development of our Staff, many of whom have advanced qualifications. It is their enthusiasm and dedication to Early Years Childcare and Education that maintains our excellent reputation. Both owners Gaenor and Susan are fully qualified teachers with considerable experience in Early Years Education.

We understand you may have a busy lifestyle and have created a wide selection of sessions between 8.00am and 6.00pm, 50 weeks a year to meet your individual needs. We are always keen to hear your views and set high targets for customer satisfaction.

Our priority is to give your child as much love and support as you do. We welcome the whole family and value our partnership with you. We have a reputation for great social events that welcome your families and friends to join in. It is important that together we provide continuity between life at home and life in the Nursery and that you have peace of mind while your child is in our care.
