Coconut Corner Childcare Centre is located in the East End of Glasgow. From babies to toddlers to after-school care, we offer a safe, secure and happy place for your children to play and learn.

Coconut Corner Childcare Centre has a play room, a baby room, out-of-school-care and an integrated service for children with additional support needs.

The centre is able to cater for 68 children, Monday to Friday. The group has run on a voluntary basis in Baillieston Hope Hall for 25 years and was set up by childcare worker Ruth Ramsay and school teacher Margaret Nelson. Such has been the demand for the playgroup, which was previously run two days a week, that Ruth and her colleagues have been working for the last three years to secure funding to expand the service.

Ruth said: "The mothers have always said to me that if we ran the service each day, they would use it. A lot of mums have work commitments or are returning to work and want to find childcare locally. "We started the playgroup to be of service in the community and that is what we want to continue to do."
