When I left school I attended floristry college for three years whilst in full time employment gaining my N.V.Q. I and II and attaining a Distinction in my City and Guilds III. I later did one year H.N.C. to keep up to date with changing trends and to further my designer skills. Working in both large and small flower shops I gained 8 years experience before taking over the Garden of Eden Florist in Bootham in 1998.

I have a great team of friendly Qualified/Experienced florists who are able to create stunning flowers for Weddings, Funerals, Business receptions and contracts, restaurants and general every day gifts and occasions. My customers can trust that they are in the safe hands of people who actually care about what they do.

We always have a large and varied selection of gorgeous flowers from around the world just waiting to be designed into a creation for our customers. We offer same day deliveries in York if your order is placed before 2pm and also have a nationwide and worldwide delivery network. For the older citizens of York who order from us but cannot get out and cannot pay over the phone we offer a money/cheque collection service to try and make their life a little easier.

Not all Florists are prepared to do designer tributes for their bereaved customers but we believe in trying our best to achieve their last wish for their loved ones. Our 'different' tributes have included a parrot, a dog, a dartboard,a boxing glove a Ferrari and also a dalek!

There have been occasions where we have not actually met certain brides who are using our services we have simply organised the flowers via the telephone and email due to them living away and just coming to York to get married. We have received hundreds of Thankyou letters from customers for the products we have created and for the services that we offer (which include our brides we have not met in person).

Customers can view our creations for all occasions, weddings and funerals online which is ideal for people requiring wedding or funeral flowers - it gives them an idea of what they want before coming into the shop. If they are still unsure our staff are trained to help them choose a suitable item for their needs.

We are also aiming to have an online ordering service very soon. I'm proud to say we are suppliers to York restaurants, Bars and businesses and also supply flowers for the Lord Mayors functions.I have also cultivated a strong business relationship with the York Registry office becoming their preferred supplier.

After a recent customer survey it became apparent that we have a massive repeat customer base, and with many more coming from recommendations we know we are doing something right.
