My name is Alan Stanton and I am an independent driving instructor.

My driving school is called 'Advantage'.

I am fully qualified and have been teaching for 18 years.

Prior to being an ADI, I was a professional driver, which included driving buses and lorries.

The knowledge and experience gained will inevitably be passed on to my pupils making them safer and more aware drivers.

The advantages of learning with an independent school are many:

Some of the bigger schools will provide you with trainee instructors, you may experience changes of instructor and could be charged for cancellations if you do not give a minimum of 48 hours notice.

An independent instructor will have greater pride in his own driving school and will be more flexible and less impersonal.

The driving test centres that I cover are: Tolworth, Morden, Sutton, Wallington, Guildford, Chertsey, Ashford and Isleworth.

I teach more or less within this circle.

I have a good knowledge of these areas and I will ensure that all of my pupils get to know the difficult bits before taking their driving test.

Looking back at the previous six months of this summer (2010) my pass rate was 84%, which isn't bad considering the national average is generally under 50%.
