Marwyn School of Dancing

Felixstowe, Suffolk
Pupils are taught and prepared for examinations in the syllabus of United Teachers of Dance in Ballet and Tap from the age of 4, and in Modern from the age of 5. Examinations are held twice yearly and although pupils are taught to the examination standard, it is not compulsory to take them.

The School also works towards a biennial show, performed at a local theatre. Here, pupils have the opportunity to demonstrate their work in public, and the School raises money for local charities. Some months after the show, pupils are invited to take part in Medal Tests, which gives them a chance to perform their show dances in front of a UTD adjudicator. They are awarded marks and are rewarded with individual medals and certificates.

Classes are held at our studio in Bath Road, Felixstowe, which has a sprung floor. We also use a pianist for some classes. Classes are held after school hours on Mondays to Fridays.

For further information about the School, please contact our Principal Jackie Bloomfield (see contact details section below)
