New View Nursery
Children can build a tower of sand, create a work of art in play dough, learn songs that will make them laugh, find friends in books and be encouraged to go just as far as their imagination takes them.
Activities and Routines:
Our aim is to make learning fun through play, activities and stories and to provide a safe and happy environment where children can experience a variety of activities both inside and outside.
Our approach is achieved through both planned activities, spontaneous activities inspired by the children and every day routines. Resources are easily accessible and the children can choose what they would like to play with from the resources trolley. Children can learn to manage areas independently, e.g., putting on aprons, returning equipment to a designated place and washing hands.
Daily routines present many opportunities for children to understand the need for simple rules, personal hygiene and the development of relationships.
We offer a ‘free-flow’ to outdoors activities – children can choose to play inside or outside - the garden is secure, but there are areas that are more private and children can be heard but not always seen at play. Adults are always nearby; freedom to direct their own play space enables young children to develop their own relationships and skills. It also displays trust, and respects the children’s right to privacy.

My Daughter Bella Began her time at New View Nursery Horsham with the wonderful settling in sessions that are provided for 2 year olds on a Tuesday afternoon. This was such a gentle way to introduce her to the nursery setting and a great way for me to meet the staff and other parents, we were able to stay with them for as long as they needed, then increase the time until they felt ready to be left for the session which I must say they absolutely loved. We feel that it is such a privilege to be a part of such an amazing nursery that is so wonderfully run by Sharon, Sallyanne and their team. All the children are given such individual care and they do such wonderful activities which encourages them in every area of their development, I have been so impressed with every aspect of how my daughter is cared for whilst at nursery and I love to watch her grow and learn through all the opportunities that are on offer to her. I feel that all her needs are met from the fundamentals through to the smallest detail. They also have the most amazing garden to play in, sun or rain they are able to be outside, climbing trees or splashing in puddles. The nursery staff are so hands on and engage so very beautifully with all the children. I believe that my child is in the very best Nursery there is. I can't sing the praises of New View Nursery highly enough. As is evident from the moment you meet her, Sharon is a wonderful and very personable Manager, who is always there to answer any questions you may have and her team mirror her. Every member of staff genuinely love the children and are great with them all. I just can't imagine having had a better start for my little boy, who adores everyone there. My son has grown in confidence and capability since being at New View and also loves the fun and exploring of the very substantial outdoor play area. This nursery deserves every bit of its 'outstanding' status. Jo
