The seaside resort of Littlehampton in West Sussex is 19 miles west of Brighton, and is home to nearly 28,000 people.
Littlehampton appears in the Domesday Book - but its history can be traced further back - at least to Roman times.
The town’s location on the River Arun meant that it developed as a port, and during the 18th century, fishing became an important industry in the town. In the 19th century the town expanded, with a railway allowing it to become a popular seaside holiday resort.
Today, the headquarters of retail chain The Body Shop is situated in Littlehampton and is one of the town’s largest employers.
The town has several parks including Harbour Park and Mewsbrook Park where you can hire a pedalo and enjoy messing about on the lake.
