Nestling in 5 acres of parkland between the wolds and the mouth of the River Humber the Legacy Oaklands was built by the Long Family in 1877 as a private estate. A recently completed one million pound refurbishment programme ensures that the hotel offers modern facilities whilst still retaining all the elegance of an English Country House.
The hotel is licensed for civil ceremonies and can cater for up to 250 guests in the evening. For smaller numbers we also have a selection of unique rooms in which to celebrate your special day
The Venue & Civil Ceremonies
THE TERRACE SUITE Its panoramic views of the sweeping lawns and fountain set a perfect mood of tranquillity and peace amidst the landscaped gardens enclosed within its old oaks and stately elms. This suite will accommodate up to 150 guests for a wedding breakfast and 250 guests for an evening reception.
THE GARDEN SUITE Also overlooking the beautiful gardens, this smaller suite will accommodate up to 40 guests for a smaller wedding breakfast.
THE LACEBY SUITE The Hotel's newest self contained function suite with its secluded private gardens, an arbour and conservatory is the perfect location for your receptions. This suite will accommodate 90
guests for a wedding breakfast and 150 guests for an evening reception.
THE BLUE ROOM The ambience of this elegant room with its lovely open fire and carved oak fireplace makes it the perfect venue for an intimate wedding breakfast for up to 20 guests.
The Oaklands Country House Hotel offers 45 quality bedrooms including four Luxurious Feature rooms, which have been decorated to the highest standards and each containing a four poster bed.
