In 1877 The Chesterfield Brewery Company opened The Station Hotel, a sixteen-bedroom luxury hotel with excellent stabling and coach-house accommodation, convenient for both The Midland and Great Central Railway Stations. Today, after a change of name and numerous extensions, The Legacy Chesterfield Hotel boasts 73 en-suite bedrooms, a modern leisure suite complete with heated indoor swimming pool, and a number of excellent function rooms ideally suited for wedding receptions of all sizes.

It is our sole aim to ensure your wedding reception will be fondly remembered in years to come by you, your family and all your friends.
Within the hotel are five very different and unique reception rooms.

The Ballroom
With an ambience of 'olde-world' charm, high ceilings, rich décor and drapes, this unique room is perfect to celebrate this most special of occasions. Able to comfortably accommodate from 70 guests for the luncheon, and over 130 guests for the evening reception in air-conditioned comfort.

The Chesterfield Suite
This more modern suite offers a totally self-contained room, with the added benefit of its own private bar. Tastefully decorated, this room is ideally suited to any moderately sized gathering. Ideal for 60 guests for a luncheon and 90 guests for the evening reception in air-conditioned comfort.

The Chatsworth Room
A very popular suite for that smaller wedding reception or family gathering. Tastefully decorated and with the benefit of wonderful high ceilings, this room accommodates from 40 guests for a luncheon and 70 guests for the evening reception in air-conditioned comfort. The Chatsworth Room is also licensed for Civil Ceremonies.

The Devonshire Room
One of the smaller function rooms on the hotel's first floor, The Devonshire is ideal for a more intimate gathering for close family and friends, where an evening reception is not required. This room accommodates from 15 to 25 guests for the luncheon in air-conditioned comfort

The Derbyshire Restaurant
A perfect venue for a lunchtime gathering, The Derbyshire Restaurant is complete with its' own bar and lounge. The restaurant is best suited for a larger 'less formal' lunchtime only reception. The restaurant can accommodate a maximum of 70 guests.
