Carrington Riding Centre

Manchester, Greater Manchester
We are a busy, yet friendly, Association of British Riding Schools and British Horse Society approved riding school.

We can offer the recreational rider the experience of being around horses.

Based just a few miles south west of Manchester in the Mersey valley green belt.

We are situated in 45 acres of open countryside yet still close to the motorway network.

Our facilities include an indoor school, outdoor floodlit menage, comfortable viewing facilities and cafe.

Our experienced and friendly staff can offer you riding lessons to suit all ages (upwards of 3) and abilities.

All our horses and ponies are chosen for their suitable temperament and are fully trained to ensure both the safety and enjoyment of our customers.

During the school holidays, we always offer a range of activities to both children and adults.

Check out what is available at the link above.

We also offer our very popular 'Pony Parties' and we recommend you book early.

A recent addition to the CRC offering is Urban RIDE a charitable group set up to give disadvantaged children and adults the opportunity to interact and ride horses.

Good Points
They have great horses, really friendly staff and great teachers.

General Comments
I have ridden at Carrington for 3 years and have loved every minute of it! The lessons include things that I actually want to do and sometimes we are also asked what we would like to do in the lesson. Also if you do not want to jump as high as the jump has been put up then you can ask and the teacher will put the jump down for you, although if they say that they think you should jump it, it may seem harsh at the time but afterwards - like an experience I had - you realise that actually it was a good thing they pushed you a little because they knew you were good enough to do the jump. Overall I love Carrington Riding Stables and would recommend it to everyone who was thinking of riding there!
