Silverhill Cattery

Wigton, Cumbria
We are open every day, including bank holidays, our normal opening hours are 9am until 6pm, although, we can arrange to have your cats brought in at other times - we try our best to meet the needs of the customer.

Located in Kirkbride we serve customers from all around north-west Cumbria, from Carlisle to Maryport, Fingland to Wigton, Bowness to Burgh by Sands and Port Carlisle to Keswick. Collection of your cats can also be arranged for a small fee.

We have a strong and very satisfied customer base.

New customers are more than welcome to visit the cattery to confirm that we meet the high standards and comfort that you want for your treasured pets.

We are constantly upgrading our pens, painting them in attractive colours, enlarging the pens and trying to provide as much entertainment as possible for the cats, with toys, scratch posts and DVDs especially designed for cats.

We do everything possible to ensure your cats comfort during their holiday with us.

Each pen is heated and your cat's dietary or medical needs will be catered for. We have cared for a number of disabled cats, including one that is blind. We will do whatever we can do to help.

Silverhill Cattery is a small cattery without visiting dogs. This enables us to provide personal care in a quiet environment without barking dogs disturbing the tranquillity of the location.

Only our well mannered, cat-friendly dog Cassie lives at the cattery.

We are fully insured and licensed.

We are a family run business and when you drop off your cats you may drop them off with Jack, Alison, Leanne or Charlotte however, no matter who receives your family pets, they will be extremely well cared for.

As a family we have owned cats for over 20 years and we love everything about them.

We have always loved cats and all we want to do is look after your cats with the same care and consideration that we would want for our lovely cats.

It is important to us that you go on your travels with absolute peace of mind that your cats are being very well cared for. In fact, if you wish, you can leave us your mobile number and we will happily text you during your trip to let you know how your cat(s) is doing.

When you bring your cats to be dropped off you may well see our cat, Tilley, running around.
