The Moors National Park Centre is our flagship visitor centre, housed in a former hunting lodge set in an idyllic spot on the banks of the River Esk. From the doorstep, you can see pretty much everything that makes the North York Moors National Park so special: moorland, woodland, farmland, hedges, drystone walls and historic buildings – all basking in glorious peace and quiet.

Inspired by…is the name of our acclaimed gallery, featuring regularly changing exhibitions by contemporary artists who draw their inspiration from the beautiful surrounding landscapes.

Also at the Centre are fascinating interactive displays about moorland life, plus lots of other things to do, including indoor climbing wall and outdoor play area
